Finn - Character Animation
As a personal project, a character from a storyboard assignment was animated in 2D. For this self-project, a storyboard, animatic, rough animation, and final animation were produced. All elements were original.
Storyboard
As an assignment, students had to storyboard a short story. This is where the character Finn was first created, who has a meek and shy personality. His personality was taken into account when created a scene for this animation.
Animation Process
After a storyboard was created, a rough animation with revisions and critique was made. The line animation was then done in parts and layers to accommodate overlay and follow-through animation. Once the line animation was reviewed flat color was added for the final animation.
